Sean McAdams' home run was part of a big day for Fairfield

Fairfield 19U Legion won both their games on Friday in the Coopers Cave Tournament to advance to the semifinals.

The Militia defeated North Country, NY 15-1 in game one. In game two, they took down the NY Monarchs 9-3.

Fairfield got their offense and pitching was strong in both games. In game one, they got a run-ruled five inning complete game from Joey Sangiuolo. In game number two, CJ Montiero threw a traditional seven inning complete game.

In game one, the big blow was a second inning three-run home run from Sean McAdams.

Blake Benway had two two hits, four RBI and two runs scored for the Militia also.

There were contributions up and down the order as each spot either had at least an RBI or a run scored.

In game two, Fairfield put up all their runs in the first three innings.

In the first, after two runs scored on a couple errors, Edmund Hogan had a sacrifice fly to plate a third run.

Fairfield added on the next two innings on some big hits. In the second inning, Matt Sawyer had an RBI single and then a few batters later, Jack Corcoran had a two-RBI single. In the third, Joey D'Elia had a two-run single of his own.
