19U American Legion Baseball: Fairfield Falls In Semifinals of Coopers Cave Tournament

Fairfield 19U Militia lost in the semifinals of the Coopers Cave Tournament in Saratoga Springs, New York. Fairfield fell in the semifinal game 4-2 to Clinton County, New York. They finish 3-2 in the tournament. 

To recap the tournament: 

In game one, they fell to Shrub Oak 7-4 on Thursday afternoon. Later Thursday afternoon, they picked up a 4-1 win against the host Saratoga Stampede. You can read about both of Thursday's games here. 

Then on Friday, they won both games. They won the first game 15-1 against North County, New York and then took game two 9-3 over the New York Monarchs. The recap of Friday's games can be found here. 

The three and one record would advance Fairfield into the semifinals of the tournament. They would get Saturday off before a Sunday semifinal, where they would suffer a loss. 

The Militia will return to Connecticut and be back in action on Tuesday at Milford at 5:45. They return home on Wednesday when they host Milford at 5:45.
